This is how I have bought my last 8-10 new cars, including a 2003 S2000 last summer: Don't focus on one dealer - include as many dealers as possible. And, don't even go into a dealer - do it all by phone. Every dealer will have an "internet salesman", so try to talk with him - he will usually get to the bottom price much faster. Take offers and make it clear that the lowest price gets your business. This is an iterative process - eventually only one dealer will be left. If you have a big enough dealer pool, you will always find one hungry dealer. If a dealer won't play, drop him like a hot potato. This process will get you the lowest price available, but not necessarily a price as low as you would like. It works best when you don't have a trade-in. One other tactic - focus on the last day of the month and quarter - you will always find a dealer that needs to sell one more car to make a quota. Lastly, convertible sports cars don't sell well during the winter, so you have a better chance of finding a dealer that needs to move an S2000. NEVER buy any of the junk that they push at you after you have made an agreement (extended warranties, paint sealant, alarms, etc, etc). Many dealers make way more margin on these items than the car itself. Good luck!

Well the sticker on mine was $33,200 but the dealer marked it down 3k so I was down to somewhere along $29,995 and I haggled and knocked off another $800....mind you this was just last month with only 30 miles on her......
