That looks painful, sorry to hear about this. Good luck, hopefully there will be justice at some point and insurance takes care of you.

I'm glad they didnt. I heard insurance usually totals the car when that does.

Hope your insurance will get you whole new sets. Anything you can do to not have thieves come back and do it again???

So from what just happened, I'm assuming those are not good locks.

Does anyone have a solid reference towards an actual wheel lock that works? Or is it just impossible, given enough time?

I still think the best defense is a good motion/proximity alarm that signals your cell phone. You can set it to give you time to get to your car before the car alarm will sound or you can have both go off at the same time.

Keep your eyes open on "Tuner" and Honda sites for these wheels, also any Pawn shops, Craigslist or local car oriented flea markets. Sorry about your loss, but there are thieves out there that shop for themselves or advertise what they can source as far as wheels, parts or whole cars. Many end up overseas. I hate to say it but import car shows, Cars and Coffee, etc are great venues for thieves to inventory what's available. Hope you are one of the lucky one's and you get your wheels back.

I'm just letting insurance take care of the situation. Hope to get a good amount back.

As for lug nuts, I would look into something that covers the whole "hole" of the lug. Like someone can't put a socket over the lug because that's what they did with mine. But like everyone knows, if they want it bad enough, they will get it.

Saw these, new idea from Gorilla. Some negative reviews on corrosion and poor quality. Lots of good reviews.

When I drive and have to leave the car overnight in a high risk area (coming up in a few weeks) I am going to lock the front and back wheels on one side with these, keeps the car from being towed and only 2 wheels can be pulled after defeating the wheel locks. A decal declares the seats have locks on them as well. I am ordering 12' to easily go through both wheels. Not cheap but cheaper than the alternative. (Plus I can use it for several bikes at one time and some other security tasks):

and two of these to link the loops through the wheel:

or this to lock mid chain:

I've been looking at the gorilla lugs too. The "x2" and there other one that spins too. From my researching, both of these are very good choices since they spin. This means that someone can't put a socket over the lug and spin the lug off. Definitely a good lug and for the price, can't beat it. I will be grabbing these next time around and maybe a few other things
