Default Whats it worth?

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering what you would say the value is of the following car (private party sale)

2002 Red s2000 with Hardtop, all aero pieces with 6300 miles in excellent condition.

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

Do you really think the car is worth only $14,200? I'm talking about what you think someone should/would be willing to pay for it, KBB isn't very accurate. Hmm NADA says almost 20k.

Any opinions?

I guess add an extra 2-3 grand on top of that for the black book's sake.

Excellent Condition - $14,530

I paid $17,000 for my MY00 with 21,000 miles in 2008.

I'm guessing it's worth more than $14K. I would say find a car with similar miles - regardless of year - and use that as a starting point. The only years you'll find are probably 06+. To some, an AP1 is more desirable than an AP2. And most car enthusiasts (s2k shoppers) know that a cars age should be judged in miles and not year.

In today's market, good luck selling it for even $13k. Recession, layoffs, winter...
