What's the strangest/weirdest thing that happened to your while driving your S2000?

While visiting Florida I had a Volusia County Sheriff in a Crown Vic pull alongside at a light after he was on my bumper for way too long. Nice guy, chatted about what he knew from Road & Track articles. Then in front of the Daytona Int'l Speedway he suggests that I "demonstrate " a launch for him. I declined and he gave his interceptor full throttle. Didn't mind getting smoked. Just too weird.

I had something similiar to svann's. My 18 yr old son and I were out for a cruise, and a Deputy Sheriff pull up next to me. We both rolled down our windows, and with a very serious look on his face, he said, "Wanna Race?". My son couldn't believe what he just heard! He didn't realize that it was a guy that hangs out at the firehouse. It was pretty funny.

1) Guy in a CRV chased after me to ask if I was offering test drives
2) Z3 driver in front of me drove about two miles practically turned around facing the wrong in his seat. Thought he was going to crash
3) Major kudos thumbs up from the driver of a totally riced out Civic on his way to take part in an Autocross event

Guy hollered at me at a stop light...and in his best redneck drawl says.....
"hey man is that one a them new hybrids"
I sat there for a second and responded "No" but in reality I guess it kind of is...
It's Hondas new Doc Jekyl and Mr Hyde Hybrid!

Night I got my car a couple of young things asked if I would give them a lift in to town. I thought where are they going to sit. I said I wasn't going that way and drove off.
Dang I can be stupid sometimes

The first day I got my S2000 mid September last year, the first day they were released, I was driving my brother in the S2K and we were 3 cars back at a red light. A lady in a car driving by in cross traffic had her were whole torso out the window waving with both hands and screaming S2000, S2000.
About a week later a mid age guy in a almost Japanese supped up Ford Thuderbird pulls up to me and asks me if it was some kind of new Hyunda,
Guy pulls up next to me who at one time was in front of me in the next lane, he notifies me my drivers side light was lose, I told him its perfectly fine.

The strangest thing that has happened to me was. . .
The day after I picked up my S, I decided to take it on the road (GS Parkway to 87 to the Palisades Parkway). As I approached the PP on-ramp (uphill circular ramp) at 65 mph in 6th gear, I was unsure whether to downshift before entering the ramp or at the top. . .
Well, I did neither. Instead, I shifted from 6th to 4th while on the ramp. Needless to say, the effect was like pulling the e-brake! The rear end of my S2K fishtailed, and all I could think about was "grand-opening, grand-closing. "
The guy behind me slammed on his brakes, I shifted into neutral and then back into 6th. . . My S straightened out and I merged onto the Palisades. With my heart still in my throat, I drove at 55mph in the right lane.
The guy behind me passed me and proceed to stare at me and my S2000 with a look of absolute disbelief
The end.
