Dude, you live in San Francisco... my battery would have "lasted longer" if it didn't have to start at night during -20 degree weather.

oh...i forgot the dealer told me two years ago...it still cranks, this car is diven on a regular basis at least 30 min at trip for the most part, perhaps just enough to keep the battery working? i am just impressed and i just expect it to go any week now..

.i just wanted to know others experience, i can expect diversity and randomness ....

Man, who gives a shit...it's just a battery. IMO the time you spend going to the store to buy a new battery a bit more often outweighs the hassle of hooking up tricklechargers and obsessing over the battery life. When I park my car for the winter, I just disconnect the battery. Problem solved!

But if you want some kick ass DD performance from a battery, buy an Optima Redtop as a replacement.

Mine finally died a few months ago (maybe begining of Dec).. that means it was in service for 9 years

I replaced it with a duralast from auto zone.

When i got my PPI on my S2000, the Honda dealership said the battery was not doing as well on the recovery test as it should, and that I should replace it soon. It still cranks over easily, even in ~10 degree F weather.

Just hooked up a Battery Tender today. My car sits in the garage for long periods in winter and I'm hoping the Tender keeps the battery in tip-top shape.
