Depending on where you live, you should be able to pick one up for MSRP or even less. Out here in So Cal, an MSRP deal is probably the best you'll get. In other areas, there have been people picking them up for $500 under MSRP.

I don't care where you live, MSRP or under. If they give you a line of limited production or some B.S. like that, tell them you'll take your business elsewhere. And remember that next month the new 350Z hits the streets and although it's no S2K it's still an attractive deal at 27-34k. Throw that in the salesmans face when he tries to stick it to you regarding your S2000 negotiations.

I just test drove a brand new s2k and got the dealer down to 32k with basically no haggling.

You should be able to get MSRP in California and other high demand areas, and $1,000 to $2,000 below everywhere else in the country.
Washington shouldn't be high demand. If you haggle -- or walk out -- you should be able to knock $500 to $1,000 off. If the first dealer won't deal, go to the next.

My guess is that ggarriso looked at Landmark Honda. They are famous for being the kings of the rip-off when it comes to the S2000. Take a look at this link from their site:
http://www.landmarkhonda.com/servlets/webS...ndmarkhonda.com
If at any point that link does not work anymore, just go to http://www.landmarkhonda.com and do a search of their new car inventory. I can't believe they have the nerve to publish that price.
We have dealers here in VA that will work with you - two have already been listed. Give them your business and don't spend a penny in Landmark Honda.
