Racing is what you make of it. If you get enough by briskly accelerating up the onramp Good for you! But for some of us it takes alot more to get us going. Yeah I bought this car for the twisties, but how many times (without being on the track) do you get to race a Camero in the twisties? When I am on the freeway on my way to work and a old Vette challenges me I dont know what it is that comes over me, but my hands shake at the thought of it! I have to do it! We out here in the boonies don't have an auto cross track to take this wonderful car to, so we have to find something else to get our blood flowing.
My suggestion to the "I'm so old 36 year old" TRY it next time some body challenges you. See what happens, maybe you will remember what it feels like to be young and dumb again!

I wish someone could give me the last 10 minutes of my life back. This thread is a rediculous waste of time. Obviously different people like different things, different people like different activities, and different people like the same things for different reasons. Lets not tell each other what we should and should not do with what we like. Let young people do young things and let old people criticize them and call them stupid, but not here. If I wanted an old mans opinion, I would call my local congressman.

BTW, I'm curious about these faster "sports cars" you've had. Remember that the S2K does run low high 13's to low 14's. What have you had that could beat that?

a turbo S, that OP may not have had? such an S will beat most everything; okay, a lot of other cars. however, such an S might be a handful at the track, unless it's running a smaller, quick-spool turbo. that said, the S2K is best and brightest stock, a modern, streetable track car if you will, that makes one owner feel good just by looking at it.

no reason to bump a thread from 2002 unless you're the OP and you want to update us or you have some REALLY new (key word) and exciting info to contribute.
