what is your daily commute time like?

Spent 2 or 3 thousand buyin a beater, so you won't feel guilty racking up miles to work. 37 Miles isn't bad at all but I know you don't want to put too many miles on the S. I have a '98 Honda CRV as a beater, good on MPG, and very dependable.

For 2 years I had an 80 mile (Each way) commute (mostly I-95) that I did with my S while looking for a new house. I actually liked it, but no risk of snow here, in fact Winter is much better top-down than Summer. I just resigned myself to the fact I was going to pile on miles and started shopping for my new S when I hit 60K. AFTER I moved and only had a 15 mile commute.

30 miles each way to work and daily-driven, even winters. Decided to find an alternative route (rural) so now it takes about 40 mins but I love it as I bypass the highways. I hate driving the S in bumper to bumper conditions. So, I suggest you
get out your map (or buy a GPS) and find alternate routes.

In Colorado, I drive 25 mi. each way (leave about 6:00am) and get to work very refreshed and with that VTEC attitude. You know what I mean. Plan to do this through the winter with hardtop and snow tires & rims. Once in a while, I get into bumper-to-bumper traffic and have found that our very low first gear is easy for creeping and not overworking the clutch.

25mi. each way here, all highway. It's my daily drive, all ways have been since MY03 I had. No matter rain, snow, or ice. In winter, snow tires are a must, you'll out run and out grip all 4x4 SUV out there for sure. It would be nice to have a hardtop, so I can take it to a car wash after it gets real nasty.
We haven't been getting a lot of snow around here in the past couple years, so last year I went with P-Zero all season tires instead, did just find in light snow and some ice. They handle so well that I was lazy and leave them on till June! Got to be real careful in winter, though, no funny move!
