what was your biggest fill up?
was at the track the other day and ran the car down to empty, no bars left. decided to go ten miles into town to get cheaper gas assuming i would easily make it. once the bars disappear you still have a gallon or two left, right? about a mile from the station i start sputtering and then the car dies completely. zero gas left. i let it sit for a minute then was able to start it again and limp to the gas station. but then my fill up was only 12.26 gallons. i thought the tank was bigger. has anyone gotten a bigger fill up?

It's a 13.2 gallon tank, but when I see no bars left I make a b-line for the nearest non-BP gas station. 12.2 is about what I put in every time.
Last bar disappears and you have 1 gallon left.

uh, oh... why not BP? then i wonder why my car died if i still had a gallon left. is a gallon not enough to create pressure all the way through the line or something?

nah, I just think Honda doesn't want you to run out of gas and to preserve the life of the fuel pump.

I get into a bad habit of running on empty. I guess, I get the satisfaction that I could get 300 miles for every full tank of gas... and I do most of the time. The only time I ran out of gas in my S, I was going uphill, 1/8 of a mile from the nearest gas station. The fill up was 11.9 gallons. I guess I would've made it if the road wasn't going uphill.

Wow, I've never been able to get more than 10.5-11.2 gallons into my car. I constantly run it until no bars are showing as well. I used to get 300 miles a tank ( around 29-30mpg) but after modding it get about 270-280 to the tank. The only exception is obviously whenever I take the car to the track, I still see pretty decent gas mileage. How much does gas cost you guys where you live? I have never paid above $40.
