okae.. as some of u might know. i got rear ended by an SUV and my trunk is damaged.. and im having insurance problem and wateverz..

the addresser for my insurance is saying he can get me 1100 dollars if i decided to take the check.. or i can just take my car to body shop to get my trunk repaired..

so i've been thinking.. i have several options.. if you were me, what would u do? just put urselves in my shoes, u don have to say, well its up to you watever u want to do. u kno? these are things that i would want to do..

A. just take my car to body shop, get my trunk repaired bak to original(BTW, they're planning on using a used trunk lid and brake lamp). take my free rental car while the car is in the shop

B. take the 1100 check, buy seibon cf hood and trunk with it, spend my own 200ish for a brake light that goes on the trunk, and end up having cf hood and a trunk.

C. somehow find an amuse lip and ING side skirt or something, watever that looks good with amuse lip.. im not sure how much that will cost me... install them.. and then take my car to body shop, get my trunk repaired and then if possible, pay them an extra and get my entire car painted in black.. that way, the body shop doesnt have to go through the blending process with the trunk.. cuz i want to change to black.. (im sebring currently). how much will this cost me? anybody got an idea?

D. just drive around with the messed up trunk.. take the check and think more about what i should do with the money

Hmm so many people wreck this car I think I would take the money and then look for a guy who was parting out his totalled car. It may take a while but Id think you could find a trunk lid for a couple hundred bucks. Is that Sebring Silver? Silverstone is real common so it would be easier to find.

 

If you have a loan with the car as collateral, you won't be able to do option D. The check will be made to you and the lien holder (bank). The lein holder will only endorse the check if you have made repairs.
