Of course I'm not certain, but I think Bieg may actually be saying, "do something." You trusted a board member. He made an offer, and you accepted. You performed by sending your money. You both made a contract and now he has breached it. Worse, he's breached your trust. Even worse, you may now feel that you can't do anything about it, since he has your money and your part, far away, too far for you to go to small claims court for instance. Here's a thought - maybe e mail him, ask him to send the part right away, provide you with a tracking number, so you can confirm he has actually shipped, or you will warn other board members of his practices. After all, he may be offering other parts on the net also, and you may be only the first of us to get screwed. Worse, he may have sold the same part more than once.

forget waiting around, I feel you've done your part in waiting. Its not a shipping issue, sure, I'd give him an extra day to accomidate proper shipping of a said part, but to not even have it available when he promised? a week later? still nothing?

I've operated on the basis of trust on this board and have had no problems. But I have wondered what I'd do in your circumstances. I would make every reasonable effort to get the part, but if those fail, I would warn the individual, then post his name for all to see.
