Is the car under your name as a primary driver?
I'm only 19, and under my name its $595 CAD a month with a clean record..but if I were to put my dad as a primary and me as a secondary...it would only be $184 CAD a month with RBC insurance, does that sound legit?

Yeah that probably sounds about right in terms of cost. I paid between 3 and 4 grand for a long time on much older vehicles. I've had the S for a couple years now and over that period of time alone, seen the monthly premiums go from about $245 to $108. You'll see when you're slightly older if you don't develop a bad record.

Doesn't sound legit unless daddy will be driving it primarily

No, it's not and I've said this before to others, cut the cord and man up, pay for your own crap in life. If you can't afford the insurance, go back to a civic.

You can do it and nobody will know, until one day you might get into an accident and that's why police start questioning you whose vehicle this is. You can of course lie and say your dad drives the s2k most of the time but trust me, the police WILL find out, and when they find out, that's when you are in deep trouble. Just pray that you'll never get into an accident =) I had a choice of registering the vehicle under one of my parents' name also, but I decided not to. Shit happens you know.
