Thumbs up What are some cheap Canadian insurance companies?

Hi all,

This goes out to all the users from Canada. I'm just wondering what insurance companies you guys use, and how much is it per month for the S2000? I'm looking for something relatively cheap, and have good rates.

Please post your company/year of the car/how much you pay

Thanks!

1700 year with Wawanesa. J

I was paying 1600 every 6 months through State Farm, so I have saved quite a bit.

I pay $108/month right now with ING, though Statefarm was very comparable for me in the past when I was with them.

25 years old, no tickets on file, 1 comprehensive claim a little over a year ago, but no collisions.

Different car... nope. Switching a place to live? Definitely. I'll likely be going to States after my graduation. I mean, a brand new S2000 here costs 60K aftertax with zero options. Shits here are too expensive, and I don't know where Government is putting our tax money into. Crappy services, lots of lazy people. I guess it's a trade off for the beautiful nature with clean air and peace.

Is the car under your name as a primary driver?

I'm only 19, and under my name its $595 CAD a month with a clean record..but if I were to put my dad as a primary and me as a secondary...it would only be $184 CAD a month with RBC insurance, does that sound legit?
