It's amazing when you're good just how petty the "other" car nitpicking can get: "You have to SHIFT IT so much". "the engine REVS so", "I've heard its GAS MILEAGE isn't very high", "It's not very Big", "It's not the fastest car to ever hit the drag strip" There's a car or two that'll actually beat it around the track" What's next? "There's only one cup holder and it won't hold my 52oz super-burp! There's no back seat! Where's the automatic trans.? It's too loud! It's ride isn't soft enough! For Pete's (or whoever's) sake, our car didn't cost $95,000, so why criticize it like it did? And, mainly, the S2000 is a SPORTS CAR, in the classic tradition, too; that's why it's the way it is. So, go buy something else if this ride annoys you.

I'm not the only former LS1 owner to sell my muscle car for this diminuitive four-cylinder so I ask the masses....what does it say for the 350+ hp, pavement wrinkling Camaro when you have owners trading/selling them for the "no torque, having to shift it all the time" Honda? To date, I haven't met anyone who sold their Honda S2000 for a Camaro.
Until you open (er...drive) Pandora's Box, you never know what mischief lies within.
On another note, I think we should start some kind of rolling counter in the upper righthand corner of this website that tracks how many so-called car "enthusiasts" write, "you have to shift at 9K rpm's to get any power" or "it has no torque."
Tell me that counter wouldn't be spinning like a slot machine!

Most people defend what they purchase regardless of how good or bad their decision was.
I can remember purchasing a Merkur XR4Ti. Thought it was the best thing since "beer in a can" I defended the X all the time as I had to hear comments like "That sure is an Ugly car" & "I can't believe your car is in the shop again" After 4 yrs of ownership, $10,000 worth of repairs, and numerous days riding my bike around town (car in shop), I finally got rid of the POS and vowed to never buy Ford or German again.
In 1995 I bought my first Honda and have been a very loyal fanatic of anything Honda makes since that day. It has been my experience all my Honda's have been virtually trouble free. I did have to replace a ac compressor on one car and a HID balast on the S, but that is it.
I love Honda's reliabilty, styling, and superior products that they bring to market.
Honda rules!

Here's a quick point:
My old Camaro felt faster than it was,
My S feels a little slower than it is.
In reality the way I drive it my S doesn't really give up anything to my old car it just feels like it sometimes.
