What some Camaro owners think of the S2000
I have owned several Camaros and Firebirds over the years before I got sick of the poor reliablility. I still check out the message boards, and thought this thread in particular was pretty funny. I did my best to defend us, but I just don't think they get it. Anyway, here is the link.

Once again who cares if a bunch of dragstrip idiots want to talk crap about the car... I get a smile everytime i drive mine.
I find that it's a pitty that so many domestic car owners only use their cars to get in pissing contests about who can get from point a-b in a straight line. The camaro's and corvette's are actually pretty good track machines

What's next, delving into how Kia owners feel about the S2000? Holy cow, it's a Camaro. A CAMARO!?! I wonder if Porsche, Audi, and BMW owners are mulling over what Fiat owners think of them.

Speaking as someone who just traded a SS Camaro in for a S2000......2 weeks ago I'll admit that going from a 5.7 v8 to a 2L 4 is a big change at first .I thought I would miss the smokey burnouts ,acceleration and fun V8 noise but this car is a whole new adventure ! I had to put 1200 $ into the suspension of the SS just to get it to less than .89 g on the skidpad ,the brakes were not up to the task of stopping a 3400lb car even from moderate speeds without fade and rotor warp, quality was marginal at best ....but it was a MUSCLE CAR not a sports car, no matter what GM or anyone else claims .To compare these two cars is rediculous ! I bought a Camaro because I needed a back seat and loved the engine .I have had numerous Mustangs, 3 GT's and even a 93 Saleen convertable and a 98 boxter ,Aside from the 16 inch wheels I cant think of anything I would change on my S .Maybe I'll find stuff to bitch about in a few more miles but I got what I asked for A true sports car , ....Now If I could only find A track !!!
