Default What oil to add at 2400 miles??

Well the S has 2400 and i checked the oil and it needs a little. Heres my question.....doesnt the car come with some kind of special oil to help break in the car for the first 3500 miles? If so, wouldnt adding different oil not be a good idea? so what oil should i add in there?

thanks for any input.

Add 10w30 to the car. If you want the same brand, get Mobil.

I used 10-30 Castrol GTX. I used that for my first oil change at around 3200 also. I think anything with the right API and SAE codes, that is not synthetic, will be fine, so go with a good brand name.

Yep, agreed. Definitely not synthetic (yet).

You can't get the break-in oil (if it even exists, but that's a big debate), so you just need to replace what's lost with non-synthetic 10W30. Most people use Castrol. Mobil is, from what I have been told, what Honda sells as their oil. Who knows what brand actually goes in the car when it is manufactured. Be sure to warm your car up and then let it sit for about 10 minutes after you turn it off so that the oil has a chance to drain to the pan. Use the lowest reading from either side of the stick.

The break-in oil I am familiar with is usually thinner and might not have all of the additives. What Honda uses, Hu knows.
