These alone doesn't constitute being a "ricer"....

IMO

"Rice" is putting ANYTHING on your car that is mis-representation...ie false badges, manufacturer stickers or aftermarket decals that you don't have on the car.

OR.. installing modification that are for high performance "looks" yet yield no performance gains.

OR.. Leaving projects on your car unfinished, un-painted or basically cutting corners resulting in an unfinished look. (primered body kits)

Rice is about what is considered "tasteful".... This is the reason it's a broad definition. Taste is subjective.

I have been considered to be rice to some people.... but hey....I'm Asian!!

MY opinion of a RICER is these guys who drive low end cars and dump a bunch of money into the engine and exhaust. Most of these cars look like they were painted by hand. Then to top it off they think they are bad MOFOs because their engine is as loud as a jet. They try to race you at stop lights. They try to catch up with you on the freeway when you blow by them...etc, etc. It makes me sick to my stomach seeing these people.

I posted this in another forum, thought I'd share it here as well...

The true definition of "rice" is simple. When a person says that something or someone is "ricey" or what have you...he/she is saying "I have no life, I am a loser, I like to make fun of people, I wish I could get laid".

Truth be told though, it's a bash on all Japanese cars, modded or not, simply because they are made by Japanese companies. But the ironic thing is that most of the people who call something ricey own imports....go figure.

I believe there is an exemption to this rule if the original manufacturer designed/sold the car in this manner...
