Post this in a Canadian forum you might be better off. That sounds like a pretty good price, could be a bit cheaper, but if it is a private sale you save 1 tax so that's even better

Post this in the Toronto forum you'll get lots of replies. What part of Ontario are you in?

PS. For all the American's answering. S2000's are $10,000USD MORE in Canada than they are in the US. They keep their value more as well, since we only get about 250-300 a year of them.

thanks guys for your comments,

I'm meeting the seller this weekend and will get the compression tested and all basic verification.

For canada Ontario, it really sounds like a descent deal.

I also forgot to mention that the car is on extended factory warranty until June '05 and that's something very important to me. plus red interior

The car in NY sounds nice but it's too much trouble for me to buy in US

Just my .02 but no car 5 year old with 65k can be classified as "mint". Average dough towards rough. would be a more realistic classification. Mechanically, as long as it hasn't had the shite kicked out of it, I wouldn't be concerned. Body wise, even babied it will show normal wear. Certainly not mint.

Check to see if the recalls were done for it.

1. Seatbelt Retractor
2. Spark Plugs
3. Tailights

I called Honda and they will fix the TSB's and callback's that were not already fixed. I have 6months/5000 km warranty is something is wrong. I also took an appointment with Honda to make a thorough verification of the car.

I suppose to meet the guy thursday or friday

can't wait any longer, I need to get this car asap before I freak out
I can't stop thinking about it and I can't sleep anything damnit

If you get a '00 go ahead and upgrade the radio. There's no clock and it's not that great with the top down. I got lucky and came across an '02 OEM radio on the For Sale Forum and upgraded to that. It definitely makes a difference and its a cheap upgrade (usually around $75) if you stick with the OEM head unit.

You might want to check the convertible top strikers to see if they are worn out and listen for any excessive wind noise at the seal around the top where it meets the top of the windshield. Replacement strikers ($40) and a tube of Shin Etsu grease ($12).

Also, check to see if there is the clutch buzz. There's a TSB on it.

Good luck

Alright, I wasn't expecting this but today I made a down payment , but I need to do honda verification and safety check before I buy

The car has :

44,000KM ~ 28000 Miles
29 000 $ ~ 23 70 US$

The car will get a new paint job from an expert, that's the deal I made with the guy. The only problem with the car was the chips and scratches

hopefully, honda will tell me that everything is fine on the car tomorrow. I test drove it and it was running great.
