any recommendations on oil analysis kits? something I can order online?

I've still got the "break-in" oil, so we might as well answer once and for all if it's got ultra-high levels of Moly, Zinc dithiophosphates, pixie dust or what-have-you. doing an oil analysis of the first oil change probably isn't going to do me a whole lotta good, since it'll likely show extreme wear due to the motor being broken in, but if the price is fair enough, I'll fork out to know what Honda engineers felt were important ingredients for the break-in oil.

EDIT: I went ahead with blackstone-labs.com -- it looks like they're a popular choice amongst the S2000 community.

I just placed an order from Amsoil.com. I take it that Amsoil products aren't available in auto part stores? It is expensive, but I think it is worth it in the long run with a car like the S2000. I wouldn't waste it in a Ford or Chevy.

I hope you got it in the Preferred Customer mode.

You can buy it from their warehouses in major cities.

Look in the Business Section of the Phone Book under Amsoil and you will find lots of dealers/jobbers.

I also ordered a Hamp large size filter.
What lube do you recommend/use in your transmission?
Thanks

Thanks for all of your expert information on this thread. It has been very helpful.
I changed my tranny oil at a little past 6000 miles, replaced it with stock Honda MTF and found it to shift much smoother. Guess the break in oil had brokend down some.

Amsoil 0w30 synthetic sounds like the best oil going. With Honda prescibing 10w30, would using the Amsoil 0w30 void the warranty?
Thanks
