That ford fusion is probably worth more than your MY00 - get over yourself.
Just because it has a higher monetary value doesn't mean it's not junk.

To the OP, is it possible that there was some time where the lot was actually full enough to force the guy to park beside you because all other spaces were taken? I've had that happen to me a couple of times. I go in, and I'm 10-15 spots from the nearest car. I come out and the lot has filled up and now there is someone parked right next to me. Oh, well.

The fusion is a fairly new car, he was probably just as proud of his new purchase as you are of your car. I've done that, where I park the s way out next to somoene else that obviously cares about thier car, that way we both have at least one side of the car shielded from stray shopping carts etc.

Try to look at things at a different perspective. He was simply parking his car and not trying to prove anything. For example, if I saw an ugly fat girl and a beautiful looking girl sitting at a park, I would want to sit next to the pretty one. Would you not?

Not really on topic, but I had a SUV parked so close to me, I literally could not open my door wide enough to fit in my car. I had to go through my passenger side (like you see on TV).

After I realized I had to go through my passenger side, I shoved my piece of gum in their key hole. Some old lady saw me and gave me a .

Sometimes I when I drive my beater (POS!) I park it next to nice cars that park in the middle of nowhere on purpose. Better me than someone who will ding your door. But I do get a bit of a giggle thinking they probably get scared seeing the dented up POS next to their baby.
