Default What kind of junk cars park next to you?

I was at my work today(Im a retail stores security guard) and was scanning the parking lot with the security cameras. I look past my s2k and noticed a ford fusion that parked right next to me. I park wayyy in the back of the parking lot near a semi-busy service road so no one jacks with my car. I don't think any other cars were near mine for another 20 stalls except the ford. I seriously don't get what he was trying to prove by parking right next to me. I've had a late 70s corolla do this to me, a geo metro, and a beat up miata do this to me.

Does anyone else have this problem or can elaborate why they do this? (jokes more than welcome)

I was at an in-n-out and parked away from other cars when a Geo zipped shoddily into the space next to my car, crossing the line into my space. My friends were all looking like WTF? The Geo folks sat in their car, ate and left; I guess they just wanted to see an S2000.

Haven't gotten door dings yet *knock on wood*, so I hope it's just cuz the other owner cares about their car and as such wants to park it next to someone (us) that care about cars too.

Since you said jokes are allowed....

That ford fusion is probably worth more than your MY00 - get over yourself.

I have a CLK park on my left And some clean SUV on my right. The SUV's more scared of me dinging his door than the other way around. He always parks very close to the wall to give me more space to open the door He's quite anal about these things, cuz apparently his car is quite rare in Hong Kong (so is my S2000!) I feel much better to have people who care about their cars park next to mine. Then I don't ding them, and they don't ding me!

I usually park far enough and don't have trouble, but oddly enough once in a while I have a random SUV next to me.

NO JUNKERS park next to my 350Z.

No one seems to care one way or the other about it, but no matter where I park my S I get lookers, and of course the guys trying to prove a point and every junker imaginable will park extremely close.

I had a junker with no doors on one side park next to me one time. I liked him, no door dings

back when i drove a junker with an expensive stereo (high school/freshman year) i'd try to park near expensive cars to give me a 'security system'

but if they dont care about their car it bothers me--thats exactly why i park way out there
