What is this hole?

Why worry about it? Take it back to the dealer you purchased it from and make them fix it. It was their dent guy who altered the vehicles body and has now caused the Honda Body Rust thru warranty to be voided

Stopped by a reputable PDR place today at lunch. Guy recommended just cleaning up the rust, paint and then plug it and use silicon rtv to seal. He was also nice enough to give me a black plug that fits. Seems like the reasonable solution to me.

After treating the fresh rust and getting some paint on the exposed metal, if you can't find an appropriate plastic plug, try your local sign shop. a circle of sign vinyl will cover that hole nicely, won't cost anything, and if you get a close color match, will be less obvious. Did I mention free?

i think that was the best solution was to treat it and plug it in. it might seem like an eyesore at the beginning but it'll come in handy later when you need more dings pulled out 
i really think honda should make their cars with strategic dent holes because of their aluminum foil body panels.

interesting, i have the same hole in my S. i always figured it was from the factory and the plug that filled it had gone missing somehow. i just cleaned mine up and re-plugged it since i wasn't aware if it would be needed in the future or not
