No that's OK, already done. The 55k is the original poster from Hong Kong.

As of today, Gene Stevens Honda in Findlay, Ohio has two (2) 2001 S2000s. One is a Formula Red and the other is a Spa Yellow Pearl. Steven's Honda is selling both cars for MSRP of $32,740. Findlay is located on I-75 just 50 miles south of Toledo. You can reach Gene Stevens Honda by dialing 1-800-233-6537 or www.bright.net/~gsauto .

In Sept. 2000 I paid $39,000. This included cd changer, locknuts, security system, wind deflector, rear-seat pocket, trunk netting, front and rear spoilers.

. Oldest bump I've seen.
The total number of days between Sunday, January 7th, 2001 and Monday, October 3rd, 2016 is 5,748 days.
This is equal to 15 years, 8 months, and 26 days.

Haha I agree. I was thinking about this topic though and 39k doesn't seem like that much in today's market when a Ford Focus is selling for that.
Then I plugged those numbers into an inflation calculator and I didn't realize it was that terrible. 39k in 2000 is the same as 54,548.59 today. Makes the asking price of the RS Focus and GT350 Mustang seem, well, not too terrible. It's also evident in the Miata pricing. A 1990 Miata was 14k new and with inflation that equals $25,799.10 for 2016. Mazda's not doing so bad on the pricing. Of course these are base model pricing.

Yeah, I must have missed this one when it was originally posted. Also, thanks for giving me the calculated cost in today's market.
