I'm just glad that nobody was seriously injured. There was an SUV in the oncoming lane about 100yds out when he pulled the acrobatics.

It could have been far worse.

And welcome to S2KO. Going thru withdrawal with NSXPrime's forums down?
Yeah, withdraw! Yeah there were some skid marks there from the on coming car... We waited around till the emergency crew arrived and waited for a fellow NSXer to finish his traffic directing.

Accidents such as this one are very concerning. Let's suppose it was a head-on two-car wreck involving a minivan full of kids. That would probably make the national news and subject all the drivers in the event to significant liability.

I've led many caravans of NSXs and S2Ks. I've seen just about everything occur on a spirited drive. There is no way to control individual driver behavior. The best we can do is

a. be serious about safety and do a briefing at a drivers meeting before the event

b. make sure all the cars can communicate via two-way radio (consider Motorola Talk-abouts or equivalent)...this way warnings about dangerous curves, obstacles and oncoming traffic can be conveyed in a timely fashion

c. set some rules regarding speeds, following distance

d. do a mini tech inspection

e. go over the route in advance

Just some thoughts to keep everybody safe....

wussup greg, and blown nsx
dat totaled s2000 in da pix WAS my car. it was a sad day. i have 20 pix of da accident, will post them soon, the rear rite tire poped and at the same time, i was going thru a sharp turn, about a month ago, i got a flat rear rite tire, and the tire patched, and got the veilside rims/ andrew racing f and bridgestone s03 tires came in 1 week after i wrecked my car. to all of you s2k owners, if u got a flat tire, dont get it patched, just get a new tire!! i had the tein suspension coilover on my car, i dont know if it helped me on da turn, or made my handling worst, but it looked very cool, my car was sitting on da ground. my future plan is get another one, probably white, for now, i'm driving my gf's lexus gs400 around, i miss my car so much, i didnt know how much i love dat car until i losted. i just want to thank all da nsx people and gregg for trying to help me out.
