I know this may sound odd, but whenever I have the radio door open I see the slots in the back of the door. Looks like a rectangular something or other is supposed to fit in the slots there. Am I the only one that has noticed this?

 

My registration and insurance card goes there.

Always thought they were for letters/bits of paper.... but could be chassis reinforcement... hmm...
