what gives, used s2000 pricing
a ebay motors auction has (2) s2000's, Tx&Ca location, going for $14-16K. both these cars have a 2liter but look in good shape + NOT a salvage title.

in denver a 2001 s2000 salvage with 14K miles went for $9.8K at the local insurance auction (klode.com). looked like needing $2-3K to get back on the road but it would have a salvage title. i saw another local with good title in denver.craigslist.com for $19.5k, this one may have seen some track time.
makes me want to do a road trip with the trailer... maybe?

The auction you linked to ended at $15.5k but it didn't meet the reserve price. So most likely the car wasn't sold for $15.5k ... If the reserve wasn't met then the seller has no obligation to sell the car to the high bidder. The seller's reserve was probably closer to the KBB sale value of the car ... closer to $20k, possibly even higher since the car doesn't have too many miles on it.
Hope this helps!

remember that only a limited market is on ebay at any given time.
instead, you should look at COMPLETED sales to guage a market value, not in-progress auctions that don't meet reserve.

Look at completed sales only on a similar condition car and miles. Salvage titles are a big drawback unless you're paying cash and tend to drive it on the track, or are never going to sell it again.

I looked on ebay to find my s, I found alot of them ,at least in Texas go for about 23k and up. I got lucky and found a woman who was in a hurry to sell and picked mine up for 18,700 (i went and drove it first, immaculate condition)
sometime's cars go for kbb price, sometimes you get lucky and get an awesome deal.

Just whoring this thread to say that I'm in California and selling my '02 sebring silver S2000 with 66k miles. Bone stock, clean title. Asking $19k or best offer, and yes I will negotiate in the interests of a quick sale. PM if anyone's interested!
