Thumbs up What to do with th gasoline in the tank

I dont think I'm driving my s2000 in the winter because im afraid of the damage the salt and weather might have on my car. So I will cover it and store it in the garage for about 3 months. I don't know of a way to do this but, should we drain the gas from the car if we dont drive the car for a long time? And what happens when gas sits in the tank for such a period of time? And does it damage anything?

you should actually fill the tank to FULL with gas and then let the car sit for the winter. The less airspace in the tank the better. If you are leaving it for more than 6months, I would also add some fuel stabilizer into the tank to reduce the potential for moisture buildup.

Do a search, there's plenty of information on this topic, OR just wait until sep/oct/nov and there will be MANY people asking similar questions!

For now, dont worry about it - just get out there and enjoy the summer

3 months is not a long time for today's gasolines. Fill the tank up to reduce condensation during storage. Put fuel stabilizer in the gas and run it for a few minutes if you are really concerned.

I would leave it on jack stand though because you will get a flat spot on your tires. That would suck if you have some nice tires on your car.
