Yes, I spoke to a representative at Recaro and he confirmed that our seats are indeed outsourced to them..
That's what I mean about evidence...
Any HARD evidence out there?

I don't think our seats have ever been made by Recaro, although they are certaintly recaro-inspired to say the least. Whatever it is, who cares really...I mean, they are seats that hold us in very well, regardless of who makes it.

BTW, the myth that Honda seats are made by Recaros have been around for quite some time. 3g Prelude seats, 4g Prelude seats, Del Sol seats, and now S2000 seats seem to find their way into the black market quite often.

So what's the answer? Recaro? Recaro.

Regardless.. I don't know about any of the other Hondas, but I KNOW the S2000 seats are manufactured by Recaro.. I mean why is it so hard to believe? They do many oem seat installations for Mitsu, VW, Audi, Porsche, etc. Why not Honda?

I'm saying it's not a myth, it's a fact. Recaro makes our seats PERIOD. I doubt that Recaro would lie to me about manufacturing our seats either.. that's hard enough evidence for me. Also http://www.thecarconnection.com/Vehicle_Re....S184.A771.html

Case closed.

I've never taken my S2000 seats out, but my RSX-S had "Recaro" stamped on the underneath of the seat. Can't remember where exactly, but it's there, just like "Enkei" is stamped on the inside of the wheels.

Yep, Recaro...not a myth...the road test in Jan '99 Road & Track states, "Once comfortably installed in your Recaro, you turn the ignition key..."

I didn't know about the wheels either. I'd be peeved if Honda went to the effort to put Recaro seats in the RSX and then skimped on the S.

They are 100% recaro. However, that doesnt mean much these days. NYC buses have recaro seats. So do California buses. They are just a seat manufaturer now. RSX seats are HUUUUUGE pieces of sh!t (ask any RSX owner...my friend has one)....they wear our incredibely fast. The s2000 seats are a bit better. A lot of VW seats, as well as Audi are recaro as well.
