A Honda salesman told me the S's brakes were made by Brembo

A Nissan salesman told me the 350Z Track's Brembo brakes had 6 calipers per piston per well (yes, 6 calipers per piston ... wow, never knew that!)

A Mitsubishi saleman told me you can never, ever, spinout in an Evolution MR under any circumstances, including taking a 90 degree turn in your neighbourhood at 90mph (I guess all the accidents Evo people had were simple head-on/rear-end collisions!?!)

Many more ...

Wait! They didn't list these either!

For whatever reason, the Audi S4 sedan and avant have Recaro seats while the convertible doesn't....

Hey, I heard a rumor that the entire S2K is actually made in Italy by Ferrari, but its unbranded.

Any truth to this?

Thanks for clearing that up Mike. Was that at Hooters? Was I there?

I just took out the driver's seat in a friend's AP1. After removing the leather and batting, I found the following tag:

"MADE IN CHINA FOR LAZ-Y-BOY TO BE USED IN HONDA S2000s MADE PRIOR TO 2005"

I have personally pulled my driver-side S2000 seat out and completely disassembled it. I found no Recaro logo in the process.

They did a good job of not answering my question:::

Dear MR. Ray,

There is no direct bolt in. Due the fact your car is so narrow. Recaro's official positions is that none of our seats fit. I have been told that if you use the Speed seat. You will need to cut the outer recline knob off on both seats. THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY! You will need a custom bracket also. Recaro takes no responsibility for any custom modifications to our product!

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that Backcracker has obtained accurate information from Honda twice that I'm aware of prior to its public release. The most recent being the addition of VSA to the 2006 model s2000. Backcracker was aware of this addition between 2 weeks and a month before any major automotive press or official source. Thanks again Backcracker
