Talking What are the chances?

Just looking around on AutoTrader and I came across a 2004 GPW w/ tan interior. All that I can tell is that it has a rear wing spoiler. I emailed the dealership and asked if they could do an even trade with my 03 Spa Yellow. Both cars have the same mileage, 32K. My S2000 has 18" ADR M-Sport Wheels($3200), a rear spoiler and side strakes. Even though the car is a year newer, they have the same mileage and mine has $3200 worth of rims on it. Its logical in my brain, what do you guys think?

the most desireable color in ap2 versus the not-most desireable color in ap1... aftermarket modifications usually take away from the value of the car when you're dealing with the mass public.. especially something like rims which depends on peoples taste.

good luck

They would probably trade, but not straight up. They would give you low blue book or something along those lines for your car, and you would have to haggle their price plus pay sales tax again.

Best bet= Buy a membership + sell your mods in the for sale section + sell your car PP (autotrader) + buy a AP2 PP.

Your car is a a year older and it is the old body style, there is no way they will do a "even trade."

Yeah, they were on it when I bought it. There was an invoice on the rims with the cars paperwork. But back to the original topic. I've only had my 03 for about 4 months and I love white so I figured why not try, it is winter time, the S2000 off season.

aftermarket parts mean nothing.your better off selling the wheels and buying the car from them.

assuming you get OEM wheels on your AP1, you're probably looking at $4000 out of pocket to do the trade with them.
