Guys, I have a little problem. Whenever I come back to my car, there are all these insects(mostly bees) that are sitting on top of my hood and my trunk. Why are they so attracted to S2000???? Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

I have this too.
It's especially noticable after wash and wax.
Could it be the yellow?

Some experience people lining up for a ride...

You experience bees lining up for a ride...

I apologize, I did absolutely nothing to help you with your problem How about a wax that the insects might find offensive? Or a cheap cologne? <-- I'm sorry, that bad humor again...

I really am not a jerk

Same thing often happens with red. My guess is that bright yellow and red are the color of flowers and not a lot else in nature. Bees and lots of other insects associate flowers with food, and they aren't necessarily fast learners.

I should post this in the geekiness thread, but bees and insects are not attracted to bright colours like red and yellow. I know this dosent help you, but I can offer one possible reason. Maybe you went thru a cloud of pollen, and the bees are picking that up? even a good wash would still leave a little amount in the car, bottem of your top for instance.. Other then that I guess, is the mystery of life

Bee's wax...Ha!
Insects are attracted to wavelengths of light we can't see. I suspect our little sweeties look like flowers to bugs. I have the same problem with my yellow Melissa. Can't hardly get the poor girl dry before the bugs start cirlcling the tower on approach. Zaino helps. Keeps them from sticking.

I have trouble with mosquitos trying to lay eggs on my black one, they think its a pool of water. I remember the Jordan F1 team being chased in the pits by bees attracted the their yellow shirts. Maybe if you put a Winnie the Poo Window shade in the windshield it will scare them off.

hmmm, perhaps a bug zapper to be plugged into the lighter would work.
