I sat in the S2000 they always had in the show room while I waited for them to finish with my car. Then I drove a WRX and loved it and bought it. After 3 years with the WRX I got a Civic Si HB just to get rid of the WRX because it was needing alot of money due to some small issues. And they gave me one awesome deal on a Si that sat on their lot for close to a year and was never test driven. I had the Civic Si for less than 4 months before I got the S2000. Which I plan to keep for a long time.

I joined the forum just after I got my WRX.

Then to find out, the insurance on a S2000 is noticably less than a WRX, and almost the same as my Civic Si was. Gas mileage in the S2000 is very close to the WRX. I make more money now, so the car payment is not bad. Depreciation is nothing to worry about either, at least not like the WRX had.

AP1 = all s2000's with 2.0L motor 00-03
AP1 = all s2000's with 2.0L motor 04+
AP2 = all s2000's with 2.2L motor 04+

Ok, I'm not dead certain on this, but I think the AP2 is all models 04+ regardless of the engine. AP2 is the chassis code. Even models with the F20C in europe are on the new chassis platform which is the AP2. Unless there is something I'm missing, I'm pretty sure everyone is getting the new chassis, just not the new engine.
