Default What analogy for SC S2000?

This post is for people who are NA and wouldn't normally venture into FI forums. Please leave post in S2000 talk, if possible.

Was trying to come up with analogies for what a Comptech SC'd S2k feels like for non-owners given a recent anti-modding thread and some discussion with an NA friend.

My best analogy is:
"You know how the stock S2000 is like a Civic pre-VTEC and a G35 afterwards?"
"A comptech SC'd S2000 is like an Accord pre-VTEC and a M3 afterwards."

The "Accord" is more fun as a "daily driver" and having the "M3" on tap is gravy.

Anyone else with a way to describe the difference in going SC? I find most of my enjoyment comes from the increase in torque and hp from 4k-->7k rpms. At 6.5k rpms, I'm making the hp of NA at 8.5k. Flogging it to redline is fun, but I have most of my improvement in daily driving fun with the little extra in the middle.

I want to do this soon. I'm soooo envious.

I've saved up about $7000 in "free" savings and will probably pick up a used kit sometime soon. They go for about $3-4K used, depending on whether there is an aftercooler, correct?

N/A S2k is a turd before VtaK and when in VtaK it's nothing special.The s2k should've come from the factory with a 3.0L V6 with 360hp.

I dunno- maybe a SCed S2000 is like a Mazdaspeed Miata before Vtec and a stock RX7 at full boost during Vtec... lol.
