I wasn't too fond of the yellow before, but after the Outer Banks Run weekend, I have a new appreciation for it. After seeing so many of them, shining like new and tearing around corners, I really started to like the color.
I love DigitalMan's shot of them here:

yellow is the way to go! I have had many comments on the color, all positive. Face it, this car stands out no matter which color it is, might as well go all out

When I bought my '01 I chose Silverstone/Red after going back and forth between that combo and Spa Yellow. I, too was concerned about how loud the yellow is.
When it came time to get my '02, I chose the Spa Yellow in a heartbeat since Silverstone is no longer an option (at least in the US). I'm so glad I took the yellow. It really shows the lines of the car and is a spectacular color. Very fitting for a sports car and not too different from the yellow that Ferrari uses. As a matter of fact, it's the same yellow that Honda/Acura uses on the NSX.

Once I let someone else drive my car, I thought it didn't even look like an S2000. Plus, one time I was a t the video store and a yellow Ferrari F550 was parked near by. It looked like my car's big brother. Spa yellow is a great color.

I've always agreed with the saying, "you can tell a lot about a guy/gal from the car they drive" .. so if you are a person who has no problem at others staring at you all the time, then spa yellow is it .. However, if you do not want to "stand out" amongst the others, then choose against it..
just my $.02.

well, that last statement is somewhat true, but I am not the kind of "flash and dazzle" person you might be talking about....I bought the yellow because it is a definite eye catcher, but also really makes this car look sharp...I have gotten nothing but good remarks from people, nothing about being pretentious or cocky or anything bad like that..just "cool car", "love the color" kinda stuff..
I was originally going to get the suzuka blue for that subdued sleeper kinda thing, but I am SOOOO glad I got the Spa..fabulous color, and looks great on the road...
enjoy!!
