I'll fully admit at one point in my life I was spoiled...my dad bought my first car for me and if I could go back I probably would've just kept that. Instead I've wasted thousands upon thousands...but hopefully I'll be able to look back and remember the fun I had.

I was still riding the bus in HS. Bunch of kids in my HS had parents buy their own sweet rides. I was jealous but never held it against anyone based solely on that fact. It was only bad when kids would act better than others based on what their parents bought them. Shameful. These kids aren't doing so well for themselves now, I think.

My first car was a hand me down Lebaron from my cousin. Then I got a VW Golf which i drove for 5 and a half years. It was an awesome car, the interior was great.

And now with an S2000, I am glad I waited until after graduating college. I get much more respect from people at work (instead of having to deal with jerks in high school.)

Had a 1987 420SEL, 1997 528i and a 1990 535i 5-speed. Not all at the same time. Occasionally I drove one of my parents cars. Moms Jag XJ8, or dads 850i or SL500.

I was not hated. lol.gif There were some cool cars (back then in 2002-2003). 2000 Civic Si, lowered, decent amount of engine work.

Not only do you get respect when you're buying a car yourself, but you HAVE much more respect for that car. My first car was awesome and I enjoyed it, but until I was paying $400 a month I didn't really use it to the fullest...if you're paying for something you have to love it for everything it is.

im a sophemore now havent yet gotten my licence but i have seen many cars around my school nd they are their rents old cars kids usually put subs in their cars to hear them bumb.....there arent really people who like cars in my school nd the ppl who do have shitty cars!!!!!! the only shit i get is ur spoiled for driving an s2000 and i rlly dont care i just laugh it off.......most kids no because they saw the pics of my car on fb lol!!!! and my bro probs told some people because hes got an 06 modded jetta thats the only other car person that has a good car!!!!

i had a slammed ef in highschool, got rid of that and had a rhinolined 4runner. they got a lot of attention because nobody at my school was really into cars except the people i hung out with lol
