We've all had people question us about our car and seen the envy in their face, knowing they'll never get to drive one, much less own one.
Umm.

Another idea we can think about is getting some of the local dealers involved also. Just a thought to get some possible sponsorship or just simple participation.

If it is something that just us OWNERS wanna do, thats fine also.

Great idea Bobs

Maybe I should learn to proofread what I write prior to posting it. After rereading it, I see where it does sound arrogant...NOT the impression I wanted to give. To clarify, I've had people who've been down on their luck question me about the car...unless they're struck with some damn good fortune, QUICK, they'll never get to drive one, much less own one.

Can any of the sponsers of s2000 online run credit cards through for such things? We could come up with an account then, and those who do not have much time could respond this way., and in the name of s2000...

Or setup a paypal account -- much easier than credit card transaction processing....

Great idea. I am swamped at work this month so I don't have the time to offer, but let me know where I can send some cash and it will be on it's way!

Well I am sure excited to see that so many people are interested in helping out this year. It seems like people are more into donations than an actually making a visit. If so lets pick a charity and possibly set up an account with a sponsor. What does everyone think about making the check from the s2ki community?? Try and get the website to set up an account we could donate to... Just thoughts.

I'm still willing to setup charity visits for those enthusiastic about it. I think it would be great to see both. I did some research today and found that it would be easiest to coordinate the event (especially on such short notice) if we pick just one charity that is located nationwide. Maybe United Way or Ronald McDonald House, whatever you like.

Hey and its also a good excuse to hold a meet in the middle of winter. S2k polar bear club: No Tops Allowed!

If you're interested just jot your name down on this thread. I'll use it as the official volunteer list. SO those of you that have already applied you don't need to reply again, I've got you down. I'm lovin all of the ideas I'm seeing. Please keep them coming, and it will make putting this together lots easier.

Bino,

First off, thanks for your leadership and efforts in making this happen and to all of the others who have offered their services and support.

I think the charity visit runs would not only be fun, but would be a great way to meet other members, but will go do whatever the majority favors, i.e., donations. Afterall, it's for the kids.

Since in a sense, we're promoting their product, do you think we'd get any support from our local Honda dealerships?
