i did not try to go to a higher RPM after that run i thought i would get a better time if i keep the RPMs low so the tires would grip but i was wrong...this is my first time running the S2000 is there any tips someone could give me that races there S

and it deff.. wasnt my night

Your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. What was your trap speed? Sounds like you were shifting before redline.

That's your problem. Your 60' sucks. It should be about 2.1. If you took .6 seconds off your 60', you'd be in the mid 14's. Your new tires may still have some release agent in them and may be slippery at the track. I've been to a few tracks where traction was not so good because of all the rubber deposits on the ground.

how do i get my 60 down? just get traction sooner...also i just went through the water box i did no burn out will that help? i read in a mag that if you have street tires that pretty much does nothing unless you are running slicks.

Launch the SH!T out of it. Seriously, we are talking 7500+. You really dont want you RPMs to drop much if any after you launch...no bogging. The problem with this is that you are going to kill your clutch and your diff very quickly. If I was planning on spending much time at the track I would feel more comfortable with a aftermarket clutch and built rear.
