How high are your RPMs when you're riding the clutch to get up the driveway?

My driveway is also at an incline, and there is also dip between the street and my driveway. So, I also ride the clutch when going into my garage. When I do this, I'm usually in the neighborhood of 2k RPMs.

If your RPMs are too high while you're riding the clutch, then I could imagine that possibly burning the clutch.

 

maybe a lil bit coolant spilled somewhere accidently?

 

Maybe you ran over some roadkill or have something dead sitting in your engine bay.

I've never smelled anything fishy with any of my cars!
