My best time was a 14.8. I've never done 1/4 mile before so I am definatly inexperienced when it comes to 1/4 mile racing and launching. My best time was achieved when I launched at 5500 rpm. when I launched at 6500 rpm, I just sat there and spun my tires. What's the key getting a good launch? I had one guy tell me I need to ride my clucth to the 60 foot, but that doesn't sound to good. Oh yeah, I lost every time to my buddy in his 350z. His best time was a 14.08.

What do you mean by granny shifting?

 

some ppl might not suggest this but ive seen the best times from droping it at around 7 its spins then grabs at VTEC

 

If your already spinning before vtec, won't vtec make your tires spin even more?
