Check it out......P
The S2000 is a high 13, low 14 car. Anyone who runs it otherwise either has heavy ass wheels, or can't operate a car worth a damn. Of course, there are always lemons...., but not all of em. A SC'd s2000 should easily run 13.2, not a 14.2. Either the track is really muffed up, the drivers suck, or some other strange factor playing into this. I have 18x9's in the rear, and 18x8's in the front, and i run 14.1's. Thats with a CAI, and an exhaust. Once i tune my VAFC and install my 4.77 gears, i hope to be around 13.5-13.6. I don't know how people achieve such high times, maybe someone else can enlighten me You have to realize one thing though. To achieve the times i've listed above you need to drop the clutch at 5500 RPMS, something many owners don't do for fear of destroying the rear end. It may be that the drivers you saw were concerned about this, and simply didn't drive the car to its full potential.

when my car was stock I ran 14.3 at LACR, which is a 13.8 with sea level correction.I dumped it at 7k rpm. In first gear If I ever drop below vtec my times went to 14.8-15.2. You have to spin your tires and catch the traction at vtec by feathering the accelerator. It's not that easy. I'm learning. There are members they can do it consistently with the time they have spent at the track. I agree with BrandonS. Does the 4.77 give you 0.5-0.6 off if you run with tuned VAFC? I'm running s/c now, you think it will give me same kind a gain or more/less? (BrandonS)

I have 17" wheels, and a PRM intake and ran 14.02 @ 93 on a 80*/75% humidity day with a 2.04 60' and a 30 MPH headwind!!!
Im guessing that i should be able to clip off a high 13 (13.7-13.8) without a problem on a good day.
Wisconsin S2K has run 13.795 bone stock @ 101.xx at the same track (Great Lakes Dragway) which is only about 750' above sea level.
Those guys probably didnt launch, or were granny shifting!
