Yeah, it's hard for Honda to build an accurate gas gauge because of the second gas tank.
I only see one...

I've gone as far 310 miles on a full tank. I drove 50 miles after the gas light came on. Filled it up to 11.8 gallons. I could've gone longer and will next time... no worries.

You can always use the ODO if you reset it after each fill. This way you have a general idea if you know the effective cruise range due to driving style/conditions. No need for a fuel gauge only an idiot light!!
The light is the only "Accurate" part of the gauging system. It comes on at 2.2 remaining gallons I think. Giving you an effect range of +-50 miles before you run out of fuel. I get up to 220 before the light comes on so it would give me 270 for a tank. I have MY03 and I drive hard...

My gas always seems to go down very quickly when I go fast. Odd...

Yeah - I don't pay much attention to it either - this morning it went from 3 bars to one with the low fuel light in only 2 miles! I usually just fill it back up when it hits 3-4 bars.

hondas are well known for their retarded gas gauges. my wifes 05 TSX must have a complex or something, the gas light comes on, but theres 6 gallons in the tank. my s does the same thing, when my light comes on there always around 4 gallons in it.

Or have you ever filled up when you have 2-3 bars left and turn your car on and the gauge doesn't go up?! Sometimes it takes my car 30 minutes for the bars to slowly go up to 'Full' by then I've driven 30-40 miles.
