Weight savings: CF hood
I'm thinking of installing a CF hood to my S2000 , how much weight am I going to save?
and on J's CF hood, is the hood scoop functional?? What is it for? Aerodynamic, intake??
Here I am again.. daydreaming.

cjb80 - what do you think about the weight differences on your J's hood?
also, the scoop isn't like a cowl type induction, but might add additional cooling for the radiator heat to be exhausted from under the hood.

You don't get a C/F hood to save weight for this car, the aluminium hood weighs very little..
The J's hood is a vented hood for lowering underhood temps, I was driving around alot tonight and I could see the heat rising out of the hood, which is pretty interesting considering that the vent is right over the supposed cold air intake!!!

J's hood certainly works well. (cool-down 10 degrees)
Thankyou.
