First, let me say that I rely on this forum for information on my S. It's the greatest resource that I know of for this car. Thanks for those who make this possible and for those who take interest and respond to the posts.

I need to know how much my S2000 weighs. That sounds easy, but I'm having problems. The door sticker says the GVW is 3385 lbs. From what GTech says, there is an allowance of 180 lbs per person included in that figure. So, that makes it 3025 lbs. Does this include a full tank of gas (13.2X6), other fluids, spare tire and tools that came with the car? Has anyone weighed their car to verify this weight?

If you haven't guessed by now, I'm getting ready to test my S with the GTech Pro, and to get the HP you need the weight. I'd like to get as accurate a figure as possible. And, I remember from somewhere (I haven't a clue where) that the car weighs about 2800 lbs. Where'd my extra 225 lbs come from? Any thoughts?

 

The official Honda figure of 2809 lbs curb weight seems to be a bit high. Others here have reported 2700-2750 depending on fuel.

My advice: use 3000 lbs and you'll be happy with the HP number you get.

 

You can go to a Moving & Storage Company and weigh it on their truck scale for about $12.00.

 

I've been wanting to throw the S on our scales, but haven't had the time, I think that I will do that tonight. I'll let you know what the distribution is and total weight come out to be. Check back around 9pm eastern.

The 2809 is weight with a full tank.

The car weighs about 2750 with low gas, simply add your weight to that and you have your gross weight.
