A way to reduce brake dust?

I had the same problem. Even tried waxing the wheels with no help. Maybe I was using the wrong type of wax. It sucks how dirty Gold wheels can look after just a light spirited drive.
AP2 pads dust a ton more than AP1's but they are better pads, better feel/bite/durability.

I did a little research on ceramic pads here. A few people mentioned that the Akebono Proact ceramics are almost as good as AP2 OEM, stopping power wise, but not good for track. Anyone have any inputs on the Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads that Tire Rack sells?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had to Google this for more information, and was able to find this on The Tire Rack Web site. Do the pads really perform as advertised? Have you been to the track with the pads? Do you know whether or not they produce higher rotor wear?
On the surface this looks like a viable solution to the dust problem.
Anyone else have experience with ceramic pads?
(Tbtak, I saw your post. )

i was thinking the same thing...Just get a set of Hawk pads. never thought about waxin the wheels tho
It does help that I have three sets of wheels and change a couple of times a month. Every time the wheels are off the car they ge a good scrubbing with Mean Green.
Old fartz with fat bellies do not like to bend over so I use a RubberMaid trash can for a wheel wash stand.
