i just use wax i could get from wal-mart or my local auto store. i only use mother's syn FX wax and carneuba wax, i'm too poor to pick up the nice detailersdomain brands but since i wax my rims regularly i can get away with it.

I use Rejex (http://www.rejex.com/rejex.html)
on my whole car. On the wheels it really seems to make getting the dust off easier.

a synthetic or dedicated wheel wax is a much better choice

Rain-X and Michelin make spray-on products that reduce the cling of brakedust to the wheel. If using wax, I would recommend Meguair's NSX, because it is highly synthetic, very hard, and non-sticky. IMO, a paste carnauba would become hot and sticky, and could actually worsen the problem.

Where do you find pads for 2003 models?
...or at your local dealership, though they'll probably charge you a fortune for them.

Because of the type of pads we use, and the way we drive, all our cars have black front wheels, most of the time. LOL, I always see it as a sign that an owner knows how to enjoy his car.
I wax my wheels so the stuff just hoses right off. Then I drive a few miles and it's back again, and for the most part, I no longer even notice.
