Don't know about using power tools on the finish of my S2000. Seems to me that it's impossible to keep the pad parallel to the surface, and the thing goes round and round, ergo swirls.

Ditto to Wirejock on the Zaino products. I have silverstone and just finished with Zaino. Looks great and I have a part time detailing business where I use distributors polish and carnauba and machine finish both. I just did a customers black Mercedes 500SL and he was so impressed as it had swirls that I will be doing his original black 427 Cobra. Zaino's Z5 is great for swirls on clearcoat and they even have one for swirls for non-clearcoat which is what I'll use on cobra. ALWAYS apply no matter what you use in a back and forth motion as circles create swirls especially with polish. In between applications you can use Zaino's spray enhancer to retain gloss. Because Zaino is a polymer it lasts longer than a carnauba so every 6 months for a stook is adequate. Also, no need for a buffer just follow instructions and wipe off with ease.

my black/black has 3 coats of "finish first". very easy application and removal- no dust. great gloss and does a great job of protecting the paint. got hit by a soccer ball while driving, with minimal scratches to the paint- i believe that the finish first helped this.
