Default Warranty direct? 1sourceautowarranty?

Anybody have a warranty contract with them? And differences (good or bad) than the Honda Extended warranty? I am considering one or the other because when I bought my S last year, I paid almost $1300 for the extended warranty (7yr/75,000mi) and feel like I got ripped.
Lot's of people complaining about Honda not covering a lot of things that they should.

These (6yr/100,000mi) plans are like $300 cheaper than Hondas?

Just trying to get some opinions on what to do.

I bought one through 1source. I've had no problems so far, but I also haven't made any claims.

The only thing that's been brought to my attention since purchasing that might have made me reconsider is this:

If a non-covered part causes the failure of a covered part, 1source does not cover the fix under warranty (for the warranted part).

Anyway, if you decide to purchase from them, call and email a couple of times and tell them you're just thinking about it. I did that to get some info and they ended up sending me coupons right and left until I signed up. I think it save me $100-125.

Thanks for the reply.

I haven't read over the whole contract yet, but thanks for pointing that out to me. And then again, it could be the same way with Honda care.

I used to work for Wynn's Warranty which has been around for ever, selling warranties. All warranty companies will have their good and their bad stories about them. Munckee is totally correct, and every single warranty company out there has the same policy, if a non covered part fails and contributes to a covered part failing you are out of luck. There are alot of little situations where the warranty will not help you, like if you modify your vehicle, and the modified part causes a failure, they will deny your claim. Also when they sell you a warranty over the phone and they tell you everything is covered, never ever buy that warranty until you get the physical contract in your hands, and review it, sales men will tell you anything to make a buck (trust me I used to sell the warranties). You will be quite suprised how things change from what they told you to what actually is in the contract you are about to sign. Let me know I can review what they offered you and let you know the good and the bad. Last thing, $1300 for a 7 year 75000 mile policy is awfully high, we sold 7 year 100000 mile policies for less than that.

Yeah pikka, good advice.

Mine was ~$900 for 100k, or 7 years from the date I purchased the WARRANTY.

heres one...if i buy my lease out early, and take it to honda to complete the paperwork, they said they would certify the car before i buy it, with the honda 6/100 warranty for an extra $500...does this sound right, or too cheap? I think the price is fine...i wont complain one bit about that!!
