want to trade interior???
i have not yet bought my s2000. i am looking at eather white or Suzuka Blue. but i absolutly have to have all black interior!!! i dont like the blue and i hate the red. im wondering if there are people out there who would like to trade eather blue or red for black. if i buy a white 00-01 i have alot less red to replace but i really want the glass rear window. anybody?

It would be a lot easier/less painful/cheaper if you just bought one that already comes in blac leather. I mean you have choices of Spa Yellow, Berlina Black, Sebring Silver, Red, and Silverstone, just pick one of those. I myself kinda lke the red interior, its flashy, but it looks pretty cool

nope has to be white or Suzuka Blue exterior. im leaning more towards white. it will be alittle before i can get my s, im thinking of buying one over winter so maybe it will be alittle cheaper. have to have all black interior.

if you are getting a white s2000 over the winter, the 2003 will come with tan interior. does anybody know if the interior in 2003 is going to be like the how it is all red interior for 2002 or are they doing the interior like they had it in 2000 - 2001, when it had some black in it?

hmm, good question, I haven't actually seenany pics of the tan interior on the S2k, I have just heard that it was a new feature in the press release, but I am interested to see how it looks like...

This actually wouldn't be that hard to pull off if you're willing to spend a little cash.
I believe that the easiest conversion would be from a MY01 white.
First, you'd want a MY02 black softop with a glass window ($600-900, I think?) and mod it to fit. Search for two or three threads on this topic. If you can live with the plastic (it's got a better view, and doesn't have nearly as many problems as some folks whine about it you take care of it), then you can save this cost entirely.
Charcoal carpeting is about $400 wholesale (I found a dealer who sold me all three pieces for $434 + $100 installation). He's in Ohio; e-mail me if you want contact information.
And as for the seats: there are at least half a dozen members of this board who have posted in the past that they would be willing to trade their black seats for someone's reds. Get them to throw in the door panels and you've got your all-black interior.
Doing a Suzuka conversion to black would be a lot pricier, I think, due to the sheer volume of interior pieces to buy or swap: dash, rollbar covers, etc. Also, as someone noted, the white/tan will be available in '03. If you're willing to wait, and that's an acceptable combination, ba-da-boom.
I am doing a color changeover as well (silver/red to silver/black-and-red combo), so I know what you're going through. Good luck, and regards.

A friend of mine bought a new Suzuka and had the interior changed out by Honda. It was pricey ($3,000-$4,000). It would be cheaper and easier to have it built that way in Japan (though still more than the standard interior). Factories DO accomodate special orders, though many dealerships will try to avoid them like the plague. Many will even tell you it cannot be done. Plan on a LARGE non-refundable down payment and a long wait to get this done.

I have no idea how he did it, but Mike Riviera from Ultima Performance on the East Coast has a 01 GP White Supercharged S2000 with the Black interior. It was featured in last year's winter issue of Honda Tuning. He'd probably be your best bet on how he did it. The number to Ultima Performance is (516) 593-3500.
I personally think your best bet is to buy a different color S and then paint it GP White or Suzuka Blue if you really want it.
