WOT = Full throttle down?

I have just tried VTECing again this morning...

For gears 2 3 and 4 I can FEEl the vtec at about 6200rpms...
Whereas when i full throttle down on gear 1... I only feel the VTEC (the PUSH) at about 8000rpms...

My car has about 30000kms and is due for a service this thursday... do u guys think the Honda ppl can do anything to help? Or would they just take my car out for a joyride.

2 gear tops out at about 106-108 km/h, so no way you overreved third at 110km/h...

Do you mean that you intended to shift from sixth to fifth, and engaged third instead? What was your speed before the shift?

OK. I don't know what's going on with your VTEC problem, but I'd strongly recommend a retainer inspection, to be sure none of the intake side retainers got stretched. You should do the inspection regardless of any other problems you might be having. Sorry I don't have a clue about the VTEC issue.

if you rev matched 3rd... you wouldn't have over-revved... you may have rev-matched horribly though and bounced the engine off the revlimiter before letting out the clutch though, but that should do no damage.
