VTEC not engaging

Default VTEC not engaging

Oil level is fine, car is at 3 barsm no CEL... i have no idea why it isnt engaging... any other ideas?

What is your criterias for it not engaging? Does it rev to redline? Are you using WOT?

WOT and non.. It achieves the 9k redline, no idle issues, it runs just like always, sans the vtec

How do you know the VTEC is not engaging? I believe that without VTEC it takes a long time and the car struggles to reach the 9k redline?

if the solenoid was broken it wouldnt allow you to take it to red line when i broke the sensor on mine it would the rpms would stop at 7k does it only do it when the car is cold?

Did you modify,or change something lately???
Some mods.make the Vtec transition a lot smoother.
